“Respiro” – ¡en Español!

One half of the videos created for Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center were Spanish language. While not fluent in Spanish I am capable of editing with the use of transcripts. The shoots were fun, the people amazing. Caregivers are the best of people.

“Inclusion”

Inclusion of children with disabilities is key to development of the child. The benefit goes further than the impaired child being included, with the typical children in the typical environment gaining a greater understanding of atypical others. It is about growing healthy community. This video is part of a series of videos created for Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center that consumed a good portion of my 2019 and still continues.

All the people and events shown here are real. Scripts for staff were displayed on teleprompter and English language interviews of clients were led by me. We also completed Spanish language versions with those interviews led in Spanish by staff personnel. Other videos still to be completed and published cover the topics of: Respite, Living Options, Behavior Intervention and Early Start.

A few of the interviews were yet to be completed when the Covid-19 pandemic closed us down. Hopefully we will be able to get back to work soon!

California Winemasters – The Best Food & Wine Event in L.A.

It really is an amazing evening in May each year at the Warner Bros backlot in Burbank. With about 60 fantastic chefs and 75 wineries, all showcasing their best in an all-inclusive (if you don’t count the auctions) afternoon-into-night extravaganza, the California Winemasters consistently raises over $1 million to help fund research into a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. If you like food and wine, that alone is worth the price of admission. The auctions take it to a whole ‘nother level. Fantastic wines, travel, and fun things with some going at bargain rates. Check it out for next year – https://cawinemasters.org/main-event/

A Quote:

This wine tasting extraordinaire and spectacular hors d’oeuvres dinner benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will be held on the “Midwest Street” back lots at Warner Bros. “One of the most important charity wine events in the US” – Tom Matthews, Wine Spectator Executive Editor.
